I have been experimenting with startup ideas since quite a few time now. I graduated in 2021 and since then with full time job I try to give my free time in building side projects.
None of them have seen the light of the day and too be honest none of it actually solved any real life problems :).
I assembled a team in start of 2023 - me and my ex colleagues. One looked at designing and me and another guy at tech. The app was suppose to connect android and IOS devices with browser extension. They can directly text from browser extension to multiple messaging apps like whatsapp, emails, etc. User din't had to download any extra desktop app.
Eventually we realised two things after 4 to 5 moths of app development:
- No one is doing marketing & sales
- We didn't talked to any user - not a single one.
This was classic rookie mistake. Unless you are creating exceptionally new like ChatGPT & Claude you don't need to build first.
